This site reflects the electronic record of the licenses presented and may not always reflect all of the information maintained within the official record. ![]() The amount of historical information may vary by county based on when such information is available.ĮLicense case data is available online at the approximate time that it is entered in the records of that court. Only information on issued licenses are available pending or unissued or out of business license information is unavailable.Īll information contained in the eLicense database originates in the individual counties where the license is issued, and is available for the current year. This information includes owner's name, trade name, mailing & location address, city and state, license number, type of license and costs of licenses purchased. Information is available on all business licenses issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office in the state under authority of Title 17 of the business regulations article. The information available through the Maryland Judiciary eLicense database may be limited in SCOPE (extent of information available), HISTORY (years of available information), TIME (how quickly information is updated), and RELIABILITY (general accuracy of information). All of the information collected at this site becomes a public record that may be subject to inspection and copying by members of the public, unless an exemption in law exists. While much information is made available to the public through this site, some information may be restricted or require registration to obtain. This service is currently being provided at no charge to individuals who apply for a user name and password. At the same time, both State and Federal laws provide exceptions that serve various needs including the privacy of individuals. The Maryland Judiciary, the 24 elected Court Clerks of Maryland and the Maryland State Archives have joined in partnership to provide up to date access to all verified land record instruments in Maryland.
